Contemporary art is a sub category of visual arts (that can be seen by our naked eyes), Many of us confuses between contemporary art and modern art , as we consider modern art to be the part of modern era of 21st century because of the word ‘MODERN’ as its domain , hence referring contemporary art to be historic and born in 20th century as a result of various art movements. But reality defines both to be completely opposite as Modern art was founded by various art movements like Dadaism and Expressionism (especially during World War II) that stressed more over emotions of an artists and less on rationality. On the other hand, Contemporary art is the prevailing art of present century (also founded in late 20th century but is still practiced today and is a subject matter of evolution in coming times), formed by living artists and focuses more upon Creativity and use of colors, rather than emotions.
Today, Contemporary art has opened up the doors of opportunities for the artists with fewer resources to prove themselves all around the world. These art forms brings people of different regions, cultures, religions and society together and enables them to identify the prevailing problems and recognize the whole world as one.

According to Marcel Duchamp – “You cannot define electricity. The same can be said of art. It is a kind if inner current in a human being or something which needs no definition”.
Conceptual contemporary art is not only restricted to paintings, but also in music, dance, photography, theatre and other applied as well as performing arts. Sometimes, we are not able to understand the idea or notion behind the conceptual artwork that its artist wanted to deliver (as may not seem rational to our common sense), but that does not degrade the quality of that artwork in any way.
